Life is complex and can feel overwhelming and lonely at times.  When we encounter obstacles, either within ourselves or outside of our control it may be helpful to have a safe space to unload and work through issues with another person.  Therapy, or counseling, is the process of unraveling, sorting through, and shedding light on our internal thoughts and emotions, while building connection with another person. This process creates internal space and room for personal change and development.

I work with people from a relational, psychodynamic, and person-centered approach. This means that I believe that you are the absolute best expert on yourself.  Whether you are looking for help with depression or anxiety, sexuality, cultural identity, issues related to systemic oppression, family issues, or spirituality, I believe that relationships are a powerful tool for exploration, healing, and growth.  Together we will explore how your body, mind, and spirit interact and influence how you think and feel.

I am trained in EMDR and have particular training and experience in areas of trauma and abuse, gender, and PTSD, and I work with adults as well as adolescents over age 14.  I welcome questions, and would love to speak with you for a free 15 minute phone or video consultation so that you can get a feel for whether I would be a good therapeutic fit for you.

I am currently affiliated with Northwest Family Life and have experience leading State Certified Domestic Violence Treatment groups. If you have questions about this program or are in need of joining a group please call Northwest Family Life at 206.363.9601.

I am also available for licensure supervision for therapists seeking licensure in Washington state. I can meet with therapists one on one or in a group of up to three people sharing cost. Feel free to contact me to learn more.

*Unfortunately I have no current evening, Friday, or weekend appointments available.

My Story

I graduated with my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2012, after completing a clinical internship working with adolescents, and families.  For 3 years I worked at Sound with adult individuals who were involved in the criminal justice system and probation.  My work there focused on issues of trauma, mood disorders, and issues of addiction.  I also spent 5 years at YouthCare working with at-risk youth.  I am currently an affiliate of Northwest Family Life in my private therapy practice where I counsel individuals dealing with general issues, as well as domestic violence and trauma.

In my personal life I am a singer and musician, certified yoga instructor, and cycling enthusiast.  I believe in holistic health, and in practicing what I preach by developing a mindful, balanced lifestyle.
